We’re celebrating a triple shortlist success!
The team at Yorkshire Garden Centres is celebrating after reaching the final of three regional business awards.
We’re super proud to share the news that we have been shortlisted in the Community, Sustainability and Medium Business categories of the 18th annual Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards.
Our MD, Mark Farnsworth, said: “We are delighted to be recognised in three categories at this year’s awards and it’s a testament to the efforts of our hard-working team. We are really pleased to be recognised for our efforts in the community; each of our centres hopes to play an active role in all their communities and it’s very important to us.
“Like all businesses, we are doing our best to be more and more sustainable and we are pleased with our progress to date. Many of our team have now gone through a carbon literacy training programme and it will be the efforts of our entire team that help us reach our ambitious goals.”
In the new Business in the Community award, we face competition from Reckitt, Mattress Online, Go Green Ltd and City Cruises York. Fellow finalists in the Medium Business of the Year are Go Green Ltd, Green Building Renewables, Belzona Polymerics Ltd and Razorblue, and in the Sustainability award, it’s Leo Group Ltd, Zenith, Environment Bank and Go Green Ltd.
We will learn whether we have been successful at an awards ceremony at Headingley Stadium on 22nd November that will be hosted by BBC Look North anchor Amy Garcia.
