Climate & Community

See Our Latest News

As an independent garden centre with our roots firmly in Yorkshire, we will reduce our impact on the environment and play an active part in the place we call home.

We care passionately about how we do business and are proud to have a robust ‘Climate and Community’ commitment that details our pathway to sustainability, the active role we play in our local community and the caring culture we have created for our people.

Within each of our four pillars, we are committed to making a difference; this will always be a work in progress as we strive to better than ourselves each and every year.

SUSTAINABILITY

Now more than ever, we recognise that we must do more to support climate action. We’re committed to reducing our impact on the planet with many sustainable practices already implemented and plans in place for a more sustainable future.

Community

With roots planted right here in Yorkshire, we believe in giving back to the place we call home. Each year, we will aim to raise £10,000 for our nominated charity as well as donate to local initiatives in the ways they need it most with our community ‘Kindness Pot’.

love nature

The climate emergency in Yorkshire and globally is more prevalent than ever and one way we can all enjoy helping make a change for the better is in our gardens. We actively support the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and we promote nature-based solutions that help tackle the climate crisis by protecting and restoring the nature that we all depend on.
