We’ve won an award for our community initiatives

The team at Yorkshire Garden Centres is celebrating after our community initiatives at all four sites have been rewarded with a regional business award.

We won the Community category of the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards that recognise and reward businesses and the vital role businesses play in Yorkshire’s economic success.

Receiving the award, MD, Mark Farnsworth, said: “We are delighted to win this prestigious award that is a testament to the efforts of our hard-working team. We are particularly pleased to be recognised for our efforts in the community; each of our centres hopes to play an active role in all their communities and it’s very important to us. This award reinforces the value of our community initiatives in each of the areas we serve.

We beat stiff competition from Reckitt, Mattress Online, Go Green Ltd and City Cruises York to win the award. Mark was presented with it at a ceremony in Leeds on 22nd November that was hosted by BBC Look North anchor Amy Garcia and attended by 300 people.
