Our ‘Kindness Pot’ has won a national marketing award

We’re over the moon to share the news that our ‘Kindness Pot’ initiative has won a national marketing award.

Our MD, Mark Farnsworth and Commercial Director, Sharon McNair were presented with the Worrall Cup for Tong’s entry into the competition during the Garden Centre Association (GCA) annual conference in Cirencester yesterday.

“The Worrall Cup is awarded annually to the garden centre with the best marketing and community initiative and we’re very proud to have won it for the Kindness Pot programme that benefits local causes that are nominated by our team members,” said our Head of Marketing, Jo Dales.

“The Kindness Pot was introduced in 2022 and donates time, money or products to meaningful causes that resonate deeply with all of our team. Since launch, over 50 local charities, groups, causes and community initiatives have benefitted from the Pot.”

GCA CEO Peter Burks said: “Our member garden centres are a creative bunch, and we run our Worrall Cup competition annually to decide who has the most flair and creativity when it comes to their marketing campaigns. This year we extended the entry parameters to include community initiatives too.”

Congratulations, team!
