WE’RE PROUD AS PUNCH TO HAVE GOD’S OWN YORKSHIRE RUM IN HEARTY’S
Over the years, some of the best business ideas have started life in a beer garden and God’s Own Yorkshire Rum is no exception. Anticipating that the artisan rum market was set to flourish as gin has done, friends Joe Dunning and Campbell Carruth dreamed of putting a Yorkshire stamp on the growing rum market and becoming one of only a few hand-distilled pot still rum producers in the UK.
After two years spent investing in an authentic copper alembic pot still, sourcing oak barrels from Yorkshire’s Master Cooper, perfecting recipes and experimenting with different techniques, Joe and Campbell launched God’s Own Yorkshire Rum in 2018 and are now creating four distinctly different rums in limited edition small batches.
There’s a Yorkshire rum to suit all tastes.
Sarah, our head of food, loves Yorkshire Blush Rum – dark rum infused with Yorkshire grown seasonal berries and currants.
Whilst Hearty’s Food Hall supervisor Charlotte’s favourite festive tipple is Yorkshire Winter Rum with notes of rich spices, liquorice, cloves, cinnamon and star anise and clementines.
