At Christmas time, many of us choose a real Christmas tree to create the festive focal point in our home.
The smell of a real tree is unbeatable and the choice nowadays is wonderful.
But your cut Christmas tree will need a little care and attention to ensure it looks good throughout the festive season. Follow the simple steps from the outdoor team at Tong Garden Centre to keep your tree looking its best.
1. Place your tree in the conservatory or garage to allow it to adjust to room temperature gradually before bringing it indoors.
2. Cut a few centimetres off the bottom of your tree and place in a stand with a water reservoir.
3. Real trees need watering as they can drink up to one pint a day.
4. Once net is removed, allow your tree to drop before decorating.
