Join us for a truly special experience as we welcome an expert from  David Austin Roses  for an exclusive rose-pruning masterclass. Renowned worldwide for their exquisite English Roses, David Austin has perfected the art of rose growing and now you can learn directly from the experts how to prune and care for roses like a professional.

This hands-on, immersive session begins with an informative and interactive Q&A, where a David Austin specialist will guide you through everything you need to know about pruning, planting, feeding, and caring for roses to ensure they thrive year after year.  

Following the Q&A, you’ll take part in a guided practical workshop, where you’ll be shown step by step how to prune roses with confidence. You’ll work on your own pre-selected David Austin rose during the session, receiving expert guidance throughout the pruning process—before taking your rose home to watch it flourish in your own garden.

• Tickets must be purchased in advance and are subject to availability.

• Each ticket admits one guest to the Prune Like a Pro with David Austin event on Tuesday 24th February The Mezzanine, Tong Garden Centre.

• Ticket holders must present a valid booking confirmation (printed or digital) upon arrival.

• Please note we operate a strict no refunds or amendments policy. Please ensure you can attend before completing your booking.

• The event will begin promptly at 10:30am and is expected to finish at approximately 12:30pm. Please arrive in good time to avoid missing any part of the session.

• Tickets are priced at £65 per person and include entry to the event, your very own David Austin rose and a David Austin rose pruning brochure. Drinks and refreshments will also be served during the session.

• Your ticket also includes entry into a competition to win a Sir David Beckham rose. The winner will be announced after the Chelsea Flower Show in May, and the successful entrant will be contacted by email.

• Seating is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

• The Mezzanine is fully accessible. Please contact us in advance if you have any specific access needs.

• Photography may take place during the event for promotional use. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform a member of staff.

• Tong Garden Centre reserves the right to make changes to the event details where necessary.
