Following the success of our festive-themed fundraising play sessions at Tong and Tingley last year, we’re going to do them all over again to put the ‘fun’ into fundraising!

The Grass Hoppers teams at both centres have launched ‘Not So Merry Christmas’ playtime parties as part of our fundraising campaign for our charity of the year, Yorkshire Children’s Charity.

The parties take place at Tong Garden Centre at 4.30 pm on 12th December and at the same time at Tingley on 19th December. Tickets cost £16.95 and include an hour and three quarters’ play time, a meet and greet with The Mean Green One and his elves, access to the disco room, food and a toy of the child’s choice.

“Further to the success of last year’s Christmas parties when we raised £2,000 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, we’re very excited to repeat these unique party sessions as part of our family festive programme this year. Not only do children get to experience great play with a unique meet and greet with Hooper’s grumpy friend, ‘The Mean Green One’, but they’re also helping us to reach our fundraising target of £20,000 for this year. Children can expect party dancing, cheeky surprises, and a whole lot of festive mischief to keep everyone grinning,” said Caroline Ellis, our Group Play Manager.

Thanks to generous donations from our suppliers, 100% of the proceeds of the ‘Not So Merry Christmas’ parties will go to Yorkshire Children’s Charity.
